Aluminium Triformate
 No heat Mordant for Cellulose and Protein Fibres
 
Aluminium Triformate is a refined aluminium mordant; a more water-soluble and gentler alternative to aluminium acetate, making it wonderfully well-suited to cellulose fibres like cotton, linen, and hemp, as well as protein fibres including wool and silk.
It offers excellent dye uptake across a broad range of natural fibres and produces clean, luminous colour with minimal fibre stress, making it a beautiful choice for delicate fabrics, botanical printing, and fine textile work.
With its high solubility, Aluminium Triformate dissolves readily in room temperature water, simplifying your mordanting process without the need for prolonged heating.

Mordanting notes: 
For wool and silk: use at 5-10% WOF in a room temperature bath an leave for a 2-4 hours or overnight for best results. Stirring occasionally to ensure evenness. 
For cotton, linen, and hemp: pairs beautifully with a tannin pretreatment (oak gall, myrobalan, or pomegranate) for best colour uptake.
Recommended mordanting process for cellulose:-Tannin bath (10–15% WOF) (optional but recommended for cotton & linen)- Aluminium Triformate bath (5–10% WOF)
