đ Mulberry Leaf Dye Extract Powder
Stable Botanical Greens from the White Mulberry Tree
Mulberry Leaf Extract is created from the natural chlorophyll in the leaves of the white mulberry (Morus alba) tree. The leaves are simmered with a copper mordant, transforming the fragile chlorophyll into chlorophyllinâa far more sunlight- and heat-resistant form of green pigment. This process yields a uniquely lightfast natural green, something rarely achieved in plant dyeing.
Key Features:
Pure, water-soluble extract from Morus alba leaves
Copper-stabilized chlorophyllin for fade-resistant color
Produces a spectrum of natural greens, from pale jade to deep forest
Works beautifully on silk, wool, cotton, linen, and handmade paper
Dyeing Notes:
Use at 5â10 % WOF (Weight of Fiber) for medium to dark shades
Pale jade tones on protein fibers, richer forest greens on cellulose
Dissolve in warm water and simmer fibers gently for 60 minutes
Modify depth by adjusting concentration or combining with other plant dyes
